:) Old Town Kissimmee - Worth a visit?

I've added Old Town in Kissimmee to our itinerary for May this year. I'd be really grateful for any feedback or advice for our visit.

You will get very mixed reviews about this!!! Some love it, others hate it. I am of the latter choice!!! To me it is very run down and sleazy. There is a vintage car parade on a Saturday night that would be good to see if you are into cars and a fab photo shop that dresses you up in old fasioned clothes and takes old style photos, but apart from that, not my cup of tea.

But as I say, someone will come along who loves it!

Very personal choice on this one !!

There is not a lot to do during the day there. We like to go for the bike night on a Thursday or the car cruise on Saturday. If you go for the Saturday car cruise make sure you get there early to park up as it gets really busy.

It is worth a visit. The car cruise is good if you like classic/custom cars and there are some interesting little shops. There is a fairground for little kids. Get there early on the cruise nights as parking is a bit of a nightmare.

We love Old Town but we have no kids but there are bars and places to eat. There is a fairground but I would still say that it is a more adult enviroment, last year we went with Robbie's sister and her family and the kids got bored quite quickly. On the upside though Flippers pizza house is here and we love the pizza from there

Hi, what times do these events start? And what time would you advise to get there?

its worth a visit, we have been a few times now and is ok. a tip if you are going on the saturday cruise, park in the supermarket car park accross from the old town (you will have to brave crossing the 192) but its always empty and you will not have to wait for ages to get out of the car park.

one thing i found on the saturday night is a few locals get rather drunk so just be a little causious (never seen any trouble though (happy drunks) like you would in our peace loving country)

We goto the friday night cruise, they have a band on a stage as well. quite a god atmos, we always visit here once duriing our stay, its become tradition for us.

Some people thinks it run down and sleazy, to be honest its not as cleancut as disney but compared to some of our inner cities, its a great place. dont let this put you off, its a great night on a friday or saturday, not been to the bike cruise so cant comment on that, as said, we always go and enjoy it.
