Rebecca's 1st Trip-Day 5 Islands of Adventure
29th May 2009
The Jones Family Me - Sally 43 Loves Disney DH - Nigel 46 Likes Disney not as mad on it as me DD - Rebecca 8 Loves Disney Princesses Still all getting up early can't seem to get out of the habit, all washed and dressed and down to the foodcourt for breakfast. 3 Cereals with 1 Apple Juice and 1 Orange Juice $12.71 after we had finished cereal Nigel and Rebecca decided they wanted an chocolate Croissant so off I went to get them as I've said before they just sit at the table waiting to be fed another $5.95 now all totally satisfied we popped into Fulton's General Store so that I could buy a bum bag that I'd had my eye on $18.06. Headed back to the room so I could pack my bum bag and then we headed off to Islands of Adventure. 10.49am we got there with no problems on the roads paid our $12.00 to park the car expensive especially as we've been busing to all the Disney Parks. I'd remembered my passport for ID and the Virgin voucher to exchange for tickets that went really smooth asked about getting the express passes and the lady at the counter said see what the queues are like inside before you buy the express pass that was good of her as she saved me money there someone else might have just sold them to me no questions asked. We headed for Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-rat Barges we all rode this although we sat opposite each other as there was a group of teenagers on there with us. Well I got absolutely soaked through I felt as if I had wet myself the water was just running down my legs Nigel and Rebecca thought this was hilarious as they were not that wet. Ok so we should have taken a change of clothes or at least a towel but in the rush to leave the room this morning it didn't actually cross my mind. So Nigel in his wisdom said we should do Dudley Do-rights Rip Saw falls straight away as we were wet already so we joined the queue which wasn't to long a wait and Nigel sat in the front we had Rebecca between us and then me third. Nigel actually got wet on this ride but I was just drenched didn't feel that comfortable and had to take my socks off. Now as Nigel was now wet he decided that we'd give Jurassic Park River adventure a miss, Rebecca was glad as I don't think she liked the drop on Dudley-Do right, and I'd had enough of getting wet now. Rebecca with one of the Jurassic Park Jeeps Rebecca with the of the Jurassic Park Jeeps We decided to head over to Seuss Landings for Rebecca as she loves Dr Seuss. Boy don't I still look wet my hair is a mess, Oh well no one knows me I'm on holiday and having a great time. We decided to have a spot of lunch in Cirkus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous we had 2 Cheese Burgers with fries and 1 Pepperoni Pizza with 1 Large Coke and a Medium Fanta $29.55 this filled a hole but I wouldn't say it was that nice. We liked the themeing in here and the train that kept going around the room. Continued on next post

After lunch we did the rides in Seuss Landings they were OK Rebecca enjoyed them all we started off with One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish I took Rebecca on there was no queue so we were on straight away. So we get in our fish and start going up and down and then the fish on the side starts spraying water on us well Rebecca thought this was brilliant as I was still wet from earlier on so she kept taking the fish down so I would get wet.
Here I am getting wet Again! Then we went on Caro-seuss-el Rebecca enjoyed this Doesn't she look like she's enjoying it. We popped into Cats Hats and Things and brought Rebecca a T-Shirt with thing 1 and Thing 2 on it they are on the fron and back of the T-shirt $21.25. THen when we came out of the shop we had a lille wander around and I spotted The Cat in the Hat on Stage on the Oh the Stories you will hear area where they do a story and then you get to meet the characters so we went and had a listen. And then we got to meet all of the characters what a thrill. The Cat in the Hat The Grinch Sam I Am with his Green Eggs and Ham Continued on Next post |

We were very lucky in this area as we managed to get around all the Characters.
And of Course Thing 1 and 2 We then went on to do The High in the Sky Seuss Trolley Train Ride which is the one that goes around the inside of Circus McGurkus. So we had a little walk to go to The Lost Continent to do Posidon's Fury but the queue was quite long and we decided we didn't want to queue so we headed back to Seuss Landings. Posidon's Fury We stopped off in Snookers & Snookers Sweet Candy Store and Rebecca got a Pick 'n' Mix for $3.76 which we all enjoyed. We decided to have a coffee now and we were a little peckish so we headed towards Port of Entry and we had our first Funnel Cake and a Coffee from Artic Express sorry no price I lost the receipt.
Rebecca wanted a Chocolate Ice Cream but I think she was wearing it more than eating it but doesn't she look like she's enjoying it. We had a look in a couple of shops and I broight myself a Grinch in a Santa's outfit to put up with my tree at Christmas he cost $13.80. We left the Park at 5pm and headed back to the Hotel for a wash and to get changed to get ready to go to Down Town Disney. We weren't hungry so we walked around to see where Ragland Road was as we are eating there tomorrow. Then we deceided to go to Ghirardelli's for and ice cream I had a Hot fudge Sundae Nigel had a Cable Car and Rebecca had a Kid's S'More Sundae and she also had a fanta total cost $25.72 for Ice Cream Oh but it was well worth it. Mine and Rebecca's Rebecca's is the one with the sprinkles on This one is mine Continued on next post |

Nigel's Cable Car Well our eyes must have been bigger than our bellies as neither me or Rebecca could finish our ice creams but Nigel had no problem and cleared all 3 dishes. How Nigel managed to finish all the ice cream off i'll never know. We popped into the World of Disney for a bit of shopping brought Rebecca a Sleeping Beauty dress set $12.95 and a princess plastic beaker $8.95. Then we headed back to the bus stop to go back to the Hotel. Again back in the Hotel and bed by 10.30. Day 6 Hollywood Studios
