Gulf Coast Busch & Universal Day 6 2/7/10 - Ellenton Outlets

The Cast

Me – Lynn 40+ (Obsessed by holidays, loves Florida, Bossy and a Holiday Planner)
DH – Philip 40+ (Thankfully Loves Florida and happy to go with the flow)
DS – Luke 11 (will turn 12 on July 3rd – Loves Florida and organising things)
DD – Rachel 10 (almost 11 - swings from being a tweenage drama queen to horizontally laid back!)
DSis-in-Law - Marie 40+ (third visit to Florida, Loves it)
DBro-in-Law - Robert 40+ (second time in Florida and a convert)
DNephew - Harrison 7 (second trip and been planning this one since his 2007 trip!)

Day 5

Today, Marie, Robert and Harrison were returning to Orlando. We all woke around 8am and we decided to head to Pepper Mill Eatery for breakfast before heading to the Ellenton outlets. The Pepper Mill Eatery is just off junction 217 of the I75 so if you're ever heading this way and in need of breakfast, I'd highly recommend it. It's just a bit different to the usual Dennys and Cracker Barrel (which are also great!)

We had a mix of eggs bacon hash browns, omelettes, pancakes etc. For 7 of us the bill was just under $60, we left $70 to include gratuity.

After breakfast, Robert surprised Marie by suggesting they stop at the outlets with us. He's all heart – but really in typical male fashion he just wanted to avoid shopping later in Orlando. Sorry Robert but I'll lay odds that Marie drags you to at least one other outlet or mall over the next couple of weeks

Ellenton is your typical outlet. We parked around 10 minutes after leaving the Pepper Mill and all 7 of us headed straight to the Nike store. Each of the kids and both men bought at least one set of trainers, Marie bought some crop trackie bottoms, I bought some flip flops. After leaving Nike, we said goodbye to the men and Marie, Rachel and I headed off on our own.

We visited, DKNY where Rachel and Marie bought some t-shirts, Underarmour where Marie bought Harrison a top; Fossil, where Rachel and I bought a watch and Marie bought a bag. Then we headed to Converse. Rachel was in here element.

She bought 4 pairs of converse (2 high top, 2 low top), 2 t-shirts, a key ring and I bought flip flops. The total cost $84 – don't you just love 4th July sales.

Just after we let Converse the mobiles rang – the boys were bored and had finished shopping. Unreal – we had hardly started... Anyway Robert and Harrison were ready to head back to Orlando so it was time for Marie to leave Philip and Luke then joined Rachel and I – Philip thought we'd come back and wander here another day but as the sales were on, and I didn't really want to devote another full day to shopping, I convinced him to stay.

I bought a bag in the Bass outlet $28, Luke got more trainers in Adidas, We spent more than we epected in the perfume outlet (arpund $200) but we got 5 perfumes and two aftershaves – they had a BOGOF offer on so we felt we did not too bad.

We bought tea lights; car air-fresheners and Christmas Ornaments in Yankee Candle (grand total $30). We then re-visited the Converse store where Luke bought 3 pairs of Converse – finally he's going to wear something other than trainers

We finally had had enough shopping but needed to head to Walmart.. I love their own brand Cocoa Butter body lotion cost $2.50 for a huge bottle and I had given Marie the original bottle I had bought so needed to get another. We also needed sun screen. Before we left Walmart we visited the in-store subway to buy a late lunch which we ate back at the villa.

When we reached home, I wrote up some trippies then read my book, Luke and Rachel played in the pool and played on the PS2 and Philip read his book. Kids turned in around 9.30, Philip and I managed a late night till 10.30.

A nice relaxing day with some great bargains.

Tomorrow it's Luke's birthday
