*** The Toys Are Back In Town - Day 23 ***
The Cast
Me - Steve 36 DW - Julie 32 DD1 - Kimberley 16 DD2 - Kiera 9 DD3 - Skye 3 Day 23 19th July Seaworld – Sharks Deep Dive Today was our last visit to Seaworld. We arrive at the park at 9.20am but it took amazing 30 mins just to get through the turn styles due to the crowd level. First stop was the Information desk toconfirm our Shark Dive and replacement ADR for Dine with Shamu. Whilst dealing with the CM I spot several tour groups going by so purchased quick queue again to counter act them. All this took around 20 mins so we headed straight for the Blue Horizon Show at 10.30 After Blue Horizons we promptly head over to Journey to Atlantis and ride several times before we ride Kraken 4 times in quick succession. With our eyes rolling about in the back of our heads we then proceeded to view the Penguins before strolling down to the Shark Encounter. By the time we exit the Shark Encounter it was time for our ADR at the Underwater Sharks Grill. The menu is very limited though we did have an enjoyable lunch as Skye was entertained by the sharks. After the Sharks we headed over to Shamu’s Happy Harbour to allow Skye to run riot in the play area and the rest of just chilled for about 2 hrs. With the time approaching 4pm we split up as Kimberley & I have Sharks Deep Dive at 4.30pm so Julie,Kiera & Skye head over to Clyde and Seymour show before going to the Underwater Sharks Grill to watch Kimberley & I. At 4.30pm Kimberley & I are met by a CM near Wild Artic and taken backstage to get our wetsuits etc and safety talk before riding a golf cart around to the Shark tank. On the entering the Shark Encounter attraction we are greeted by 2 CMs who look after the sharks and are given information about the various species that we would encounter. They mention that the Sand Tigers will be the most curious when we enter the water, the Sand Tigers are the ones that swim about with their mouths open. We enter the water which was cold but refreshing and put on our helmets and carry out some further safety checks before entering the cage. Kimberley was a bit nervous but soon overcame her nerves and we enjoyed a short 20 mins spell underwater viewing all the weird and wonderful creatures in the Tunnel below and spot a few sharks too After our dive we are brought back to the locker room and have a quick shower before meeting up with Julie and the kids again near the Penguin Encounter. Skye was determined to go on the trampoline so she eventually go her way whilst the rest of us tucked into some ice cream. With the time now approaching 6.45pm we decide it was time to call it quits but not before we ride Manta for one final time. Edited at 07:24 PM. |
