The Ralstons do California - Day 12

We had breakfast in the room and then headed to California Adventure Park for opening at 10am.

We headed straight for Tower of Terror where we got fastpasses and then joined the short queue to ride.













We rode a couple of times and saved our fastpasses for later on.

We rode Flik’s Flyers in A Bugs Land which was the only ride here we hadn't managed to do on our previous visit here.



We then headed back towards It’s tough to be a bug which we enjoyed as much as we had done in Florida.







By now it was time for us to pick up our picnics from Sonoma Terrace which we had preordered so that we could get the tickets in to see World of Color this evening.



The picnics were edible but not the best meal of the holiday!

I headed round to Grizzly River Run to get fastpasses while the others finished off their lunch.

We then headed towards Paradise Pier



We stopped off to get autographs & photos with Mickey





Then carried on on our way



We then spotted some Toy Story characters so joined the queue for photos and autographs again

Then time for the longest queue of the holiday. There is no fastpass facility for Toy Story Mania here like in Florida and the queue moves very slowly!



















We then decided to have a go on the wheel which really isn't worth the wait. It takes ages to go round too and isn't so good if you aren't keen on heights!



Time to go and use our Fastpasses for Grizzly River Run.



I love wet rides! It is a lovely warm day so it is refreshing to get a little wet.









The family on our raft with us were all wrapped up from head to toe in rain ponchos. What's the point? I understand when it isn't a nice day but it was really hot today! We didn't even get that wet anyway!



We stopped for an ice cream break then headed round to see Lightening McQueen & Mater

Then we all head to Soarin which is even better since we are in the right park to go with the video





Then we head to get photos with Minnie





We then walk over to Hollywood Pictures Parade





We decide to go to the Playhouse Disney show so we can rest our legs a little.











Then we head round to the Monsters Inc Mike & Sully to the rescue ride. We enjoyed this.





And then Muppet Vision 3D. We love the muppets but once you have seen this more than about 5 times it does get a bit boring!







We then head round to get in line for the Aladdin show. This is amazing. The Genie is just fantastic and has the whole audience in stitches!

We are all getting pretty hungry by now but we manage to persuade Freddie to go on Tower of Terror one more time with our fastpasses saved from earlier.

We have our dinner at Taste Pilots' Grill











The food was nice and there was a good toppings bar so we fill up on some salad with our chicken & burger.

It's now time to go and head to queue up for World of Color at 8.15pm.





We get as good a spot as we can and camp out for the wait for it to start. The boys are tired and a bit fed up of waiting but once it starts it is worth it.



We are all shattered now and head back to the hotel and straight to bed!

Wow, that was a funfilled day! We were amazed that Toy Story Mania doesn't have Fastpass. Wonder why?

The Aladdin show is excellent, isn't it? And I LOVE World of Colour!

I hate that big wheel too! We always go on it and i seem to forget how scared I get... until the first big swing out!

A good day picnic looks tiny though do you have to do that to get tix to see WOC or are there other options like a Fantasmic Package sit down meal?

Note to self - check up on WOC and don't ride on that big wheel!
