Georgemac & Crew Oct 2005 - Day 8

Friday 14th - Magic Kingdom/Epcot

Did our usual morning routine, then headed to Magic Kingdom, again using the Black Lake & Sherbeth road shortcuts, still took around 20 minutes. MK was absolutely heaving, as busy as I have ever seen it except for July 4th and fathers day on previous visits. Got fastpass for Lilo & Stitch then went to space mountain - 30 minute line. Buzz Lightyear was 30 minutes plus so decided not to wait. Did L & S (very poor), headed across to splash mountain and collected fastpass for Mickeys Philharmagic on the way (could not go inline as it was broken down). Fantasyland was also jam packed with people, it was a job just to get through the crowds. Got to Splash Mountain but the wait was 90 minutes, so decided to go for lunch. Headed back into Frontierland, there were lines to get in everywhere, fast food & table service, eventually went across to Adventureland and managed to get a quick snack, hot dog and fries, DS was pleased. DW declined, she headed back to the Christmas shop. She bought loads with park pick up on the way out, don’t know why she never bought it at the marketplace? I headed back to Splash Mountain, got fast passes, still 60 minutes + and Thunder Mountain 75 minutes. We wnet and saw Philharmagic which was great, went and rode SM, Thunder Mountain was still over 60 minutes wait, so headed off to Epcot again on the Monorail. Did test track with fast pass (single rider 30 minutes! 60 minutes line), Mission Space not busy so did this several times single rider. Back to MK for parade & Wishes - park still heaving. Had lovely toffee ice cream sundaes from the shop at the top of main street on the right while waiting. Both wishes and the parade were excellent, wishes was the best fireworks show I have ever seen – only to be surpassed later by Hallowishes – never got to Illuminations this time.

I have posted some photos of Spectromagic below and on a couple of other threads as there are quite a lot of images – again apologies for some of the blurring – I was not using the flash and the shutter was probably open just a little too long for moving objects – I live and learn!

Hi Katherine and welcome to the dibb

Don't know how you posted on this trip report page with your question, and not sure when you are going to Florida, but this page may help you out if you click on the link to parades
