IOA Day ! Marvel-ous ! Warning...Picture overload!

We woke up at 7.00am and left the hotel at 8.30am. After our expereinces with the free shuttle at the beginning of our holiday (see http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/show...67#post6356667), we decided to get a hotel taxi to Islands of Adventure instead. The cost was $20 including tip, which we felt was reasonable.
We arrived at 9.00am and the park was virtually empty! (Result ! )

We went to the following rides:
The Hulk Roller coaster - which would have been even better if we hadn't been to BG afew days before ... still great though)
We then went over to the Marvel Superhero area

We went straight onto the Spiderman ride which was very good !

We then watched the Superhero parade...which i think my OH secretly loved - being a massive marvel fan !

We then went over to Jurassic Park and got... WET ! We walked straight onto this ride = bonus! Apparently some of the effects were not working, but it was still good!

We then had a walk over to the Harry potter part of the park which was busy (So thats where everyone has been hiding)

The queue stated 60 minute wait for the latest HP Ride, but TBH our stomachs were very good from the Spiderman simulator ride, so we gave it a miss
We did however try some Butterbeer ...

... which was VERY SWEET !

We bought a ;normal' beer to wash down the taste of the sugar rush - which seemed to help

We then did abit of shopping in the stores inside the park - mainly in the marvel area. We bought some t-shirts and some gifts for family & friends back home

But at a cool $3000 we had to give it a miss
We then had a walk over to visit Universal Studios again, where we bumped into these characters:

Overall, this was a great day, with great weather and a nice steady pace (which was much needed)
We left the park at about 3.00pm and took a taxi to The XS Tattoo Studio on I'Drive where we booked a Disney themed tattoo to be done on our last day (Next Thursday).
We then went over to IHOP for a bite to eat..well Chocolate Pancakes to be precise!

We bought afew more gifts for family and friends back home on I'Drive before walking back to our hotel by about 5.30pm. We nipped in Zeebra's Sports Bar for a nice refreshing beer or 2..
We got food from the bar again tonight as we were too tired to walk up I'Drive to get anything else...
There was alot of noise outside again tonight, sounded like more school groups, however this settled down at about 11.30pm
