Aquatica Day !

09/05/11
Woke up at 6.30am, went on FB on my phone to catch up with the goings on at home and to upload afew pics...then went back to sleep. Woke up again at 8.30am and we were both ready to head out the door at 9.45am.
We wasn't 100% sure of how to get to Aquatica via public transport, so we jumped in a taxi which only took afew minutes and cost very little... Result!
the park wasn't busy at all, which was great! We got our sun loungers and put our towels, sun scream etc on them before heading off to the first slide..
Dolhin Plunge - The anticipation of going through the dolphin pool and seeing them swimming around us was great, however in reality, we were both going too fast to actually see any of them as we went sliding through the tube
From there it was onto the Lazy River where we watched the world go by as we gently glided along the course.
Looking for abit of excitement, we then went onto the Tasslers Twizlers and the Wallalla Wave which were both great!

Then it was onto the Roa's Rapids...well what can I say..these were BRILL ! The force of the current was alittle nerve racking initially, however any feelings of worry were soon banished due to having the life jacket/floating vest on. This was great! Id have stayed in here all day of I could

Feeling abit hungry, we then went over to check out the buffet Food @ The Beach Cookout. It looked good value and therefore we opted for this. Again, it was excellent value where we ensured we were well nourished and hydrated!

With our stomachs taken care of, we decided to go back on the Lazy River to relax in a rubber ring for a while ..This is the life!

We then did a spot of sunbathing before the urge to go back in the water had taken over ...

Back in the Roa's Rapids, which were just as good the 2nd time! I filmed alot of this, and therefore we havn't got many photo's..
We did get this one though:

We began to run out of energy in the heat, therefore we left at approx 3.30pm
(Got this photo upon leaving though)

and got a taxi back to our hotel where we showered, relaxed and now refreshed, went out to Millers Ale House just across the road for some Tea;
Me = Ribeye Steak ..Quite nice but not the greatest
Steve= Fish & Chips..Very nice apparently
x2 Big Millers Lite beers..Much needed...very refreshing!..Hi-cup

We then went across the round to the Railway and Helicopter Centre, where we enquired about the prices and times of their Helicopter rides as this was something that Steve wanted to do on his birthday - tomorrow. We were given some time slots that were available, which we were very happy with, so agreed to go back the following day.

We then went over to Walgreens to get Steve a Birthday Card and afew other goodies that we could have in our room

We then walked back to the hotel to chill - we were feeling pretty drained as we had fit alot into this holiday thus far, however as previously mentioned, it was Steves birthday the next day and we were off to Magic Kingdom, so we had to find some more energy from somewhere..
Sleep and Mountain Dew did the trick !
