Hi, I am new to the forum. I have spent months going round in circles.
Basically, we want to get married in Florida. We want to visit Disney and other attractions while we are there, so I guess we need to be staying in Orlando. It would only be me, my fiance and our currently 1, 3 and 4 year old children. For that reason we would need a child friendly and safe location. When we go in 2013 they would probably be 2, 4 and 5, depending on date.
The questions I have are:
Can you suggest a good wedding location for just the 5 of us?
Can you suggest a good place to stay bearing in mind we have 3 children and most hotels only allow 2 kids?
And the most important question - for ease of organising it when we will have no other adults to help us get ready/do things - should we book it all through a travel company like Virgin? Or should be use a wedding co-ordinator? If so - based here or abroad?
I have no family to help me organise this, and I really have no idea where to start. I think the sticking point is the 3 young children in terms of the cost and where to stay.
We cant afford the disney wedding packages. It would need to be an affordable option.
I am so grateful if anyone can help point me in the direction to get started. My daughter is delighted with the little smilies and she wants me to do this one for her:

Hi, have you thought about renting a villa? There are some lovely ones on here. We've always gone d.i.y, booked flights, villa and car separately. Can't help with the wedding but there are quite a few dibb members planning weddings at the moment. I know a few people have had help from carrie on here, I think she advertises and can arrange everything for you. I'm sure someone will be along with more info, good luck with the planning.

We got married in Florida and it was really easy. Our officiant Tim Herring in Orlando organised everything for us including limo hire car from and back to our private villa, flowers - my bouquet and DH's buttonhole (having liaised with us on what we liked), photographer, booking of the venue etc.
We organised our marriage licence when we arrived in Orlando, but I believe that is just as easy to organise from here before you go.
We liaised with Tim via email and it was really easy to do and he was very helpful.
He then rang us in our villa when we arrived to go over the last details etc, and everything went so smoothly. Magical day.
There was just DH and I (so just the two of us) and we married in Leu Gardens.
There are all sorts of options for getting married in Florida, depending on your budget etc.
Happy planning.

Hi
We got married last august 2011 at cyprus grove , there was me ,hubby , 18month old son ,mother in law and 2 friends - so very quiet wedding really - the venue is beautiful , wedding was in gazebo overlooking the lake ,we hav some lovely pics and video. Doris the lady that married us was amazing and think she was 86 years old but a proper darling after the wedding the limo picked us back up and we went to Maggianos on International drive - we stayed at four points sheraton , nothing too fancy really but was nice enough and the staff made a real effort as we were getting married in florida
we booked thru thomas cook and the wedding was booked with crownline ,they sorted out for hair and makeup at the hotel , lovely woman called peggy , they sorted photographer ,flowers, cake , and video man and limo to and from cyprus grove ..
Hope I have been of some help to you
Hi, a villa would be great, but also a condo hotel like Cypress point, Homewood Suites would be good as well.
Disney also do one and two bedroom apartments, which if booked whilst on a discount and including free dining, can work out a great option
Explore all avenues, as often the most obvious wont be the cheapest
Can't really help regarding the wedding, but I know alot of people on here have used Carrie and recommend her, so you could email her and see what she has to say; cengler@destinationoccasion.com.
Hi, welcome to the Dibb and congratulations :-)
We got married in December 2011 at Cypress Grove. We booked it through Virgin Weddings as we had our holiday package through Virgin Holidays. It was a very straight forward process. I would highly recommend Cypress Grove as its beautiful.
If you are booked through Virgin Holidays, have a look at their wedding packages. Good luck with the planning
