Same here for the wait times but we were caught out last week at HS, wait time was 30 minutes (this was just after it opened)... it took 90 minutes before we got on the ride

I've been 5 times over Spring Break and Easter.
Yes it is busy but with a bit of planning it really is doable.
If it was really that bad, we wouldn't keep going back.
And the weather is perfect. Warm, not humid and dry.
We've only been once and this was at Easter 2012, and we loved it. Yes it was busy, but we planned against the busy day guide and went to the parks as they opened. Only had one day in 18 where the lines were off putting.
The weather was fab, hot but not humid.
The OP said you can't go any other time of the year, so that sort of decides it for you. Don't be put off it is worth every bit of money and effort and you'll have a wonderful time.

Because we have to fly in from the middle east we have managed to get bargins on our flights-not tied to tour operators charging a fortune for school holidays but if it was going to be mega busy then I would have thought about maybe waiting til 2014 instead, knowing my luck tho I would have been stuck with Easter then too lol
I find that interesting . UK schools could not make a massive impact on the parks as there are a limited number of flights / day
So why is Easter always so busy?
I think a lot of it has to do with spring break schedules. Depending on the state (or even the county/school district/etc), some states have a week off as early as Presidents Day (late Feb and sometimes with another week off late April) while other states have their spring breaks all throughout March or April. The peak is probably end March/early April. In addition, many private schools and home-schooled families do follow religious holidays (public schools in some states/districts I believe also give Good Friday off).

The US Spring Break differs from state to state and school to school but often coincides with the Easter Holidays we have. Most of the Universities break up around this time and Florida is high on the list of places to visit because of it's great weather and good beaches.
Also some US schools *do* have "Easter Breaks". It's just that most schools don't call them this (even if they are around Easter) because they are not supposed to be tied to religious activities (see also the "Holiday" period at Christmas).
I'd rather deal with crowds and have beautiful weather than go in the rainy season! x
Totally agree with this. We are going next Easter, and the plan was for June 2014. Looking at the weather this year however, I think we'll stick with Easter

Great minds and all that We are lucky we can go out of season as we have no kiddies yet, when they arrive we will choose the easter holidays! So the OP don't worry you will have an amazing time! x
