All our dreams did come true! Day 5- Universal

5th August- Universal
Got out early as we knew we would need time to get there. Had breakfast at the Mara (quick service at hotel) and set out at 7.30am. Well we deidn't have a car and decided we would use the lynx bus BIG mistake! We did not arrive at Universal until 10.30am 3 hours from when we had set out one of the drivers actually pulled over for a break and ate his apple for half an hour. Later on we found an easier way to get to universal doh.

We finally arrived and went on rip, ride rocket first we were sat right at the back, it had really shaken us around and had hurt my head Then we went over to The mummy now we love this ride it is so good we rode it 4 times that day haha. They sometimes put actors in the line which really creep me out haha. Simpsons and men in black next both cool rides. We had brought snacks from our hotel with us which saved some money and bought a drink

We were very excited that the despicable me characters were about to come out I was so desperate to see some minions but there wasn't any We decided to get in the line for the new ride this was our longest wait 60 minutes but it was the lowest it had been all day so we thought we had better go for it.

The ride was cool pretty similar to the simpson ride though, we loved it anyway because we love the film so much and then the best part of the ride we came out and there were MINIONS at a disco and you could dance with them so I went straight in there!

We decided to head over to IOA for a butterbeer...

Came back to Universal to watch the show fear factor it was so gross guests from the audience drank fish guts and stuff it was hard to watch We had dinner at Mel's Drive in, I had a ceasar salad and milkshake and Dan had a burger.

It was really quiet in there so we took our time which was nice. We then went across the road to watch the Rocky Horror Make up show, wasn't sure what to expect it was actually really funny! We looked round some shops and found these

Hehe we really wanted some ice cream but could not find any, we decided to grab a spot for the new Lagoon night time show Dan decided to go and try to hunt down so ice cream he did me proud and came back with Ben and Jerry's fish food amazing. Watched the Lagoon show and I have to say it was really good we both really enjoyed the clips from the different films and it put you in a good mood after! The minions were in it as well so what more could you want haha.
Before we left I had to do this

Was time to go home and we got a Mears shuttle that we could have got there grrrrrr didn't even know about it but it was worth every penny as 1. It only took 45minutes and 2. the bus driver was a legend we caught it all on video so Dan will upload it at some point. As soon as we were all on he literally started a show where he sang on the words to usher and flo rider songs and then gave us a disney quiz all the way back which was so fun. He is already on you tube as he is such a legend Got back to AKL ready for bed

The Universal sign photo is awesome! . Hmm. . your milkshake looks delicious aswell! Glad you got a Mears Shuttle back home to AKL and only took 45 minutes, better than 3 hours indead!
