Disney & Beyond June July 2011 - CONCLUSION

It’s taken me over a year to complete this trippie. I want to explain why. We’ve been extremely lucky and managed to visit Florida every year since 2005. We’ve not always visited Disney but we’ve been in the sunshine state and we’ve had a ball. Lots of our best family memories stem from there. Luke was just 5 when we first visited in 2003 and Rachel was 4. But since they were 7 and 6, each year they’ve been holidaying in Florida every single year.

My normal routine is to book flights and accommodation and start planning for our next visit as soon as we return. So it was heartbreaking when I realised that we wouldn’t be returning in 2012. The reason for this was that our financial circumstances had changed as I had started my own business. Initially I had tried to set up business with a family member but that had failed – for lots of reasons - and I had lost £5,000. That money left a gaping hole in our meagre savings so our heads ruled and we decided not even to think about Florida.

So I decided to set up on my own – doing exactly the same thing but without the hindrance of the family member. I’ve worked extremely hard and earlier this year, my business really began to flourish, and we could have booked a trip to Florida but we decided against it. We decided to focus on contuing to build the business. In a way that made the fact that we weren’t going to Florida much, much easier to bear.

So fast forward to June 2012 and I have already started planning next year’s trip. We’re going back for 4 weeks and I can’t wait. If anything having a break has made me even more excited about next year. So being in a better frame of mind I really wanted to complete my trippie and I’m so glad I have. It’s brought back some lovely memories.

I’m sorry the beach days are so boring but there’s very little to say when your day involves just swimming, beach combing and general chillaxing. Hopefully though the pictures will be useful for anyone thinking of making a trip to the Rotonda area.

I’d like to thank those of you who read my trippie and particularly to those who commented. It really did make it all worth while.

I've really enjoyed your trippie - I was a year late in putting miune on the dib - no reason other than the fact that i am a full time working Mum and time is never plentiful plus I didnt think anyone would be interested in our holiday!

Glad to hear your business is doing well - well done you and I am sure that by missing it for just one yeasr will make the next one even more enjoyable!
