I am assuming they would have to be paid for (like pictures at Character Meals etc) but wondered if they can still be stored against your photopass so you can add them to a photobook / CD with the others.

They can't do it. We asked but got told it's different companies and a different system. The photos on board are expensive and we spent £200 on some amazing ones. You do get a little bit tired of posing at mealtimes though. Watch out for soup stains and spinach on your teeth, lol.

They are incredibly expensive, and they dictate which photos are available in the smaller cheaper size, and which are only available in the larger size. I was quite disappointed in the setup to be honest.

On our first cruise we bought 5, and then last year I don't think we bought any.

I scanned the ones we bought. Last year, I had a CM take a photo on our camera when we met any characters.

Thanks for the tip. We'll probably have character pics on our photopass from WDW, and we'll just be picky about which we buy on the cruise, like you say will try to get CMs to take pics on our camera when possible. Would probably like to buy one on formal night and maybe a couple of others. Will increase the photo budget just in case
