FMD Day 5 Anna Maria with a Hangover

Tuesday 4th September

Anna Maria Island

91 degrees hot and sunny

Its a slow and painful start to the day, we are both a little delicate and don’t feel to energetic, thank goodness we are at the beach and not the theme parks.

Breakfast is at the Beachside Cafe, it’s only a few minutes’ walk away, the food is cheap basic and good.

Poached eggs toast and home-style potatoes for me, Omelette for Michael, then back to the house for a nap

By 1pm we are both recovered and go for lunch at the Waters Edge restaurant near the pier, the food is great and the location is very pretty. Michael and I shared a burger and a chicken sandwich, both were delicious.

We go back to Publix to buy more water, we have gone through 90 bottles since Saturday! We think we should buy some toys to play with in the ocean so we buy a ball and two big inner tubes

Once back we play with them in the pool before heading into the ocean, it was lots of fun playing like kids we stayed in there for ages.



Michael headed off in search of Pizza, wow I have eaten like a horse since we arrived here! I showered and typed up some more trip reports we shared pizza and by now it was after seven so we sat on the balcony enjoying the last of the sun before it set

We were in bed by 9.30pm
