California Calling July 12
I have never tried to do a Trip Report before but since we had a great trip with a few more unusual places I decided to give it go using notes I made whilst away. This is a sort of Post-Trippie Pre-Trippie!
This was intended as our last big family holiday with both children so we wanted something memorable so this had been more than a year in the planning. Consists of me, a perpetual organiser who is determined to make my children well-travelled since I never set foot on a plane until I was 24. DH, Graham, who works long hours to allow us such fantastic holidays and who really needs his breaks. DD, Megan, turned 18 on our trip. Just finished her A-levels and was awaiting the results whilst away, a committed Americophile who hopes to study there next year and move there eventually. DS, Ally, 15, an adventurous type who loves camping, walking and doing his DofE awards. We are all Florida Fanatics with 6 trips under our belts but this was our first trip outside of Orlando (except for DH who visits Princeton all the time for work.) |

Same with us. However, in 2011 we had a break from Florida and visited NY, Maine and Boston. Next year, like yourselves, we will be hitting California (following a few days in NY! ), so just off to read your report and get some ideas for our visit next year
