Day 1: Santa Monica to Pismo Beach

Day 2: Pismo Beach to San Francisco

Day 3: San Francisco

Day 4: San Francisco

Day 5: San Francisco & Yosemite National Park

Day 6: Yosemite National Park

Day 7: Yosemite National Park to Lone Pine

Day 8: Death Valley & Vegas

Day 9: Grand Canyon & Vegas

Day 10: Vegas to Disneyland

Day 11: Disneyland to LA

Day 12: Hollywood

Since I now knew the bus system in Hollywood like the back of my hand, I told Neil that we could get the bus very cheaply to where we needed to be. We were on Sunset & La Cinenega so I was very sure of my bearings. Knowing that the only place I really felt safe in Hollywood was the Hollywood Hills shopping centre, that was where we headed.

We got hassled by a random chap who was wanting to start a stand up comedy act. He had four teeth missing and smelled like wee While we tried to politely get away from him, I managed to politely offend him by saying that we were from the UK so why would we buy his DVD when it wasn't likely that we'd ever see him over there. This was actually quite offensive on hindsight but I really did just want to get away from him.

Got a few pictures with the Hollywood sign in the background:

Then, we had amazing burgers in Jimmy Rockets for lunch!

Wanting already to get out of Hollywood and we hadn't even seen the theatre yet, Neil made the suggestion that we go to the movies So we watched the Hunger Games in the Chinese Theatre. I'm guessing that not many people actually use the Chinese Theatre as a Theatre because there were only two other people in there with us!

We enjoyed the movie and then did the Chinese Theatre thing:

Heading over the road, getting as far away from the madness of Graumann's as possible, I managed to find sanctuary just outside the Disney Store.

We got on the bus and were out of there by 3pm.

No more pictures from this day folks... you can tell I don't like LA We had a quick dip in the pool when we got back, bought some Bud Light and Lime from the shop over the road and some Cheetos and pogged out by the pool. At 5pm, we walked across the road to a deserted House of Blues and took advantage of Happy Hour, and shared some half price appetisers

Then, not wanting to spend any more time in Hollywood, Neil and I came to the decision that we would spend our last full day in Santa Monica as we'd loved it so much the first time around. I naturally got all giddy over the idea of a Jinky's breakfast and went to bed dreaming of those potatoes

Day 13: Santa Monica and the Regent Beverly Wilshire is here

How cool that you saw a film in there!

Did you go into the Disney Soda Fountain? We had the most gigantic but yummy sundaes in there

I'm not sure what I would have done about the chap who accosted you. What a horrid situation. Not sure how you could have got rid of him politely, to be honest!
