Hi Sierras Day 2 Vegas Baby!

Well, woke about 5am, so not too bad. Neil started by taking some photos of the sunrise. We pottered about and finally went down to find some breakfast about 8. We chose some pastries from Palo bakery and ate them along the Pool promenade. The pool looks nice, hope to use it later.

We had a nice wander through shops to Caesars Palace and its shopping plaza. Then outside to walk past the Mirage. The Wynn looks very nice, beautiful dressage horse sculpture outside, and floral decoration inside almost as nice as the Conservatory at Bellagio. We then stopped for a starbucks cold drink in the fashion mall as I was already too hot We walked past the Treasure Island and looked at the ship where the sirens show is in the evening. Then back to the Venetian and marvelled at the canal and St Marks square, just amazing.

By now it was 11.40 ish and very hot, so we headed back to our hotel to get the car. Before we left Neil had wanted a go pro but they were out of stock so we wanted to find a Best Buy. Our valet parker gave us directions but we must have got them wrong because we seemed to be heading to quite a seedy bit of LV. So we let sat nav take over and found one. (By this point we had changed to our own sat nav as found that the one that was supplied with the car wasn't that great, it spent the trip in the glove box! ) Deed done despite our Marks and Spencer Mastercard being declined - long story will def be looking for a new card when we get home:angry:, we went into the mall just down from BB and had a really nice turkish chicken salad from the food court. Next on the list was either a Walmart for drinks and cool box and a phone shop for sims for our phones.

We went round in circles for a bit and then headed out on the I5 towards LA thinking we would find something - well 40 miles later we gave up at a place called Prim. Ok we bought a couple of t-shirts at American Eagle but just didn't get this place at all Are they trying to make it a new Vegas? Middle of the desert, a mall and a casino! However it was quite busy, not sure where they all came from Anyway we got a couple of huge pink lemonades to sustain us on the way back, which seemed much quicker, but still no luck with Walmart or phone shop.

Back in the room, we found a box of Bellagio truffles with a note wishing us a lovely stay from the manager, thanks again to our TA. By this time it was after 6 and Neil wanted to get the go pro set up. I started to read my book but think i dozed too Anyway we suddenly realised it was getting late so went out for a wander again. This time we went the opposite way along the Strip through Cosmo and Vdara and back, but gave up trying to get across for the Earl of Sandwich so ended up at the Cafe Bellagio about 10 for tea. Neil had a thai shrimp salad and I had a short rib braised sandwich with dip, both were very yummy although I had to leave some of mine as huge portions.

On the way back to our room we watched some roulette, how casually people can lose money $900 in one go, gosh I live on another planet! Bed around 12.

The high roller rooms always fascinate me!

Sounds like a full, busy day. Hope you did get to the Bellagio pool, it was lovely!

Always amazes me how you can go out in the morning and see people sat at the slots and come back at tea time and still see them sat there, and i love watching when they have 3 on the go at once.

We loved Primm we had a afternoon at the outlets there and got some fab bargains. It does get quite busy, shuttles run there from Vegas a few times a per day.

But oh my you went so far out your way for Walmart, there's one at the back of the airport, another on Tropicana, you must have been so annoyed you couldn't find one.

Some of it is , there's people gambling in one night more than we earn in a year, others who sit there for hours ..

Some people just go for 2 or 3 days purely to gamble.

Or there's people like us who spent about $50 over the 2 weeks, we'll never be high rollers lol
