Packing up and returning home (21+22/11/13)
Pics added later on...
This was our final morning and after sorting ourselves I set about sorting the villa. I'd already done most if the cleaning last night and finished the packing so it was just a case of stripping the beds and a quick hoovering around. Our plan today is to visit the sun trust at DTD and see if we can sort an account as we had no joy at Walmart yesterday. Then it's into DTD for the earl of sandwich and nothing else to do until 4. And no idea what to do with the rest of our day. We set off for the big sun trust and are seated straight and our account is open in 15-20 mins and all we needed was our passports and driving licenses. You need $100 to open the account with and they only charge a fee for the months that your account drops below $500, they give you 2 months free to start so you can load it up. They no longer give you cards there and then as there's been a lot of fraud this way and they'll send us everything within a few weeks. I questioned the security on the cards as I've seen many people just swipe an give no pin or signature, he tells me this is people who are using credit and that this way no money leaves your account for 3 days but if we press debit then it'll go straight away, hmm so people can take my card and just swipe it, worrying. So if you do lose your card then make sure you have it cancelled straight away! We cleverly bump into the Irishrovers in the car park at DTD and wonder I to a few stores before going for lunch at a very busy earl of sandwich. All adults go for the Christmas sandwich and the kids choose the turkey and Swiss and pizza sandwiches, I can't remember what the bill was but it'll be the same as the last time. We say our goodbyes and as they head back to the boardwalk for a day at Epcot we go back to our villa for the final time as we've left things charging. The rain begins to come down and we await a thunderstorm although none comes. We watch tv and just chill and mama naps At 4.30 we depart for the airport, again we've not been able to do online check-in, boooo. We arrive at the airport and it appears that no-one else has checked in either, it takes more than an hour and a half to be through to the lounge and Niall had been a pain in the butt the whole time even managing to throw his booster seat at a gentlemen in the queue! Turns out we haven't got the seats we've asked for and have been split up so one of us will have to have both the boys! Great We dine at Burger King as we've not got enough time now for outback and that totals $34.29 We board to find that not only have we been split up but the lucky one of us has got a bloody exit seat, I'm not the lucky one and even end up with a seat that's leg room is impeded by bars etc and I don't know how dh at 6'6" would cope in this seat. I'm gonna guess that the guy in front of me is a recliner too As we didn't have our kids meals on the outboard flight I ask a stewardess that has the list of meal requests in her hand if we have them this time as virgin told me they'd sort it, she very rudely snaps at me that she's busy checking the meal request now and doesn't answer my question - she had a list in her hand and it surely has names on, a quick scan was all I was asking for. Hopefully she's not our host for the night ... Sadly she is. The staff on this flight were disgustingly rude, we can repeatedly hear them laughing and bitching about other passengers. The food was the worst plane food I've ever had and after I fell asleep dh woke me up to swap seats. Hmm he's being nice or so I thought, it turns out his leg room was not so great and the seats were narrower, their was a freezing cold breeze blowing along the floor and the guy near him swore about everything and had to be told to put his shirt back on! Other than that the flight went by pretty quick and the boys slept through it all. We arrived at Manchester about 15 mins behind schedule and head straight through to the train station to get our tickets before sitting down at ritazza for breakfast. My panini is Typical British tasteless fayre and the hot chocolate watery and not mixed properly - oh what a joy to be back home We board our transpennine express bang on time, funny how you get way more leg room in coach of the train. The train journey was pretty uneventful and I'd happily do it again too. Fil picked us up and we were back home by 4pm to a very happy Ralph and a lovely clean and tidy home.

Urgh as if it's not bad enough coming home without having duff seats and stroppy cabin crew I bet it was good to get home to your tidy house and Ralph though. There really is no place like home!
