The most Amazing Ghirardelli West Coast Road Trip Day 9 - The Linq and more Las Vegas Hotels

We had a well deserved little lie in this morning after a fantastic night but we had a breakfast buffet booked at the MGM.

We made our way to the MGM and there was a bit on a line but it didn’t take long to get a table.

This was by far the nest buffet breakfast out of the three we had at Vegas. Loads of choices I even had some Mexican for breakfast. Then we saw the dessert bars, wow!

Should have stayed here, I’ve heard the chicken wings are good! (Next time, shhhh)

We had the Linq (high roller) booked today for noon. We had booked tickets online but as it turned out it was pretty quiet, just wondering if this may not be as popular as they were hoping.
We took the monorail from New York New York, but it wasn’t that far, just really hot today!

It’s the biggest in the world, and takes 30 minutes to go around. A full commentary was given on TV screens and air conditioning. Very well run also. We shared the pod with about 6 other people so there was plenty of room and seating.

Sorry but loads of photos of the Linq and views.

It was great to see past the strip out to the surrounding areas and watch some planes coming into the airport.

Me and Dave were followed around by these women again! Must be our good looks……

It’s a nice area outside the Linq up to the main Strip.
After the fiasco at the Carlos Bakery we need to take Tracy to Sprinkles Cup cakes for a lovely cup cake, they even have a cup cake ATM outside!
I am still a bit stuffed from the buffet so have the smallest little cup cake in the world but very nice.

We carried from yesterday and explored some more hotels and casinos.

We also watched the Bellagio fountains before heading off for an earlier dinner.

We had heard that the Outback steak house near the Coke a Cola shop was good.

We seated straight away and had some nice bread and salads with an ok steak. Big disappointment the steaks on the trip, shame.
Wasn’t a bad steak just not, melting in the mouth nice?
Think I will just stick to Longhorns and The Keg Steakhouse (Canada) in future.

We leave dessert and pick one up in the Hagen Das in New York New York, just a small outlet with a few seats but we managed to sit down to have them, nice.

We pop back to the Excalibur for a good night coffee before bed.

We have a very start in the morning at 6am for the trip to the amazing West Rim Grand Canyon by mini van.
Really looking forward to this.

Another good day!

Fabulous day again! I love the look of the high roller but for $35pp I think ill give it a miss.

Breakfast sounds fab, we have booked 2 nights in the MGM for March and will have to try it for ourselves

Looking forward to reading about the GC tomorrow. We have done the South Rim before but are hoping to do the West Rim this time round.

You can get The Linq tickets for as little as $19.99. Online and even at the gate, I would think night time would be busier though.
