Part 16 – Summary

Maybe this is just an excuse to drag my trippies out even longer and keep the holiday alive. Lol
I can honestly say that there wasn’t anything we did on our holiday that we didn’t enjoy.
The temperature ranged from 72f on the day we landed to 82f. It was so strange hearing Xmas music and seeing the decorations in the park when it was that warm. Lovely.
Our hotel was lovely but next time we are going to go for a villa mainly so that everybody can get a bit of space from each other at the end of the day. I don’t think being together 24 hours a day for 2 weeks helped with the kids bickering.
The kids weren’t keen on Epcot, but tough we will still do it again when we go back but they will be older and we will remember to take advantage of the Kids spots in the different countries.
I think our least favorite park would be Universal Studios. We visited Universal in Salou a couple of years ago and that seemed a lot cleaner, better themed and more spacious than the one in Orlando. This doesn’t mean we will give the park a miss though, we will probably just go for half a day just to do MIB, Back to the Future, Earthquake and Mummy again.
We have so many highlights that it’s difficult to pick one. NYE in Epcot, after the kids stopped bickering and I did something about my headache. Shannon’s’ first meeting with the Princesses on the same day. Our first breakfast in Animal Kingdom because it was our first chance to meet Characters. R’n’R Coaster in MGM and of course Fantasmic and the Osborne Lights. All the Characters we got to see, especially in MK. When we visited Euro Disney our biggest disappointment was that we hardly saw any characters, whether this has changed since then I don’t know. Wherever we turned in MK we seemed to find another Character. Crystal Palace in MK was another highlight and something we all want to do again. I was disappointed with breakfast in the Palace, we didn’t enjoy the food particularly but it was nice to look inside the Castle just once. We all preferred the Princess breakfast in Epcot.
In MK, Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Railroad and Philharmagic were our favorite rides.
The dolphins at Seaworld and of course Shamu. The Serengeti Safari at Busch and the Rollercoaster’s…..heaven! IOA, Dale and myself loved The Hulk, we all preferred IOA to Universal.
We did regret not going to Disneyquest until the last day and not spending long enough there so next time we are going to set more time aside for that.
We didn’t get to visit the Malls but, even though I was a bit disappointed about this, we didn’t go on holiday to shop.
There were a few rides in the parks that we missed out on and we didn’t get to see many of the shows. We were quite disappointed to miss the Lion King show and the Pocahontas Show in AK.
We just have to look forwards to seeing them on our next visit. I think we will be even more prepared for our next visit, we know what we enjoyed and want to do again and know what to miss out.
Dale who wasn’t bothered about going had the time of his life despite himself. Shannon says her dreams came true and Martin, well what can I say. I think I left him in Florida and came home with a Disney nut. Everyday he talks about our next visit. Forget the old Martin I want to keep this one.

Your discriptions were first rate. It was like I was with you all the way.

Nothing is quite like the 1st time is there... But the 2nd time is better...and the 3rd... and the 4th.. We go back for the 5th time. 12 weeks today

Our 2nd time in Florida was better because we knew more what to expect AND we had found The Dibb
