Best to book Disney direct?
First time cruisers!
We are adding a 3 or 4 day cruise to our trip this summer and have seen people say they use a US travel agent. We were just going to use Disney direct is there any advantage to using a TA? If so any recommendations? TIA |

Hi
I booked direct with disney, i found it really easy and straightforward. I think sometimes you can get on board credit via a ta not sure what other perks there are im sure someone will comment who booked via one for you em

We use Travel on a Dream (ToaD) and w do that because we get great customer service, they know the ships inside out and back to front, we get on board credit which pays the tips, they are awesome when something goes wrong (it does despite it being DCL).
If you don't book via a US TA, book direct. The T&Cs will be the same and they are so much better than anything a UK agent can offer you.

Either book through a US TA or with Disney US direct as the terms are much better.
We used Dreams Unlimited as they give us on board credit plus good service. We've used them for one cruise plus several WDW stays. |

I agree with booking via a reputable US agent (we've used Dreams Unlimited for almost all our 8 cruises).
A few tips though - - get a credit card that gives a good exchange rate (note US companies never charge credit card fees as they are not allowed and also you are still protected by UK law on purchases). - keep your eye on exchange rates once booked...if (and here's hoping) rates rise again your cruise should actually start getting cheaper in real terms. At the moment they are pretty poor to previous years (though be warned -rates can go down, as well as up ), so you would hope there might be a reasonable chance things might improve over the longer term. Keeping your eye on exchange rates may well pay dividends if you can take a bit of a gamble on to when to pay your cruise off in full. Most T/As will allow payments/part payments at any point in time. - as previously stated, US agents terms are soooooo much better than UK ones, if you want to change any detail of your cruise, or even cancel altogether. You normally receive an extra bit of credit on your on board (ship) account via a US agent.
