Bcv refurb

We booked beach club villas after transferring from wilderness lodge villas for our December trip. Then had an email to say there would be construction work between 9am and 5pm at bcv during our stay (8th to 22nd December). Now moved again to kidani village!

I shared a lift with a couple of manager type people today at the BCV and asked about the refurb.
They still don't have a confirmed start date for it. Apparently they are waiting for the BC hotel rooms to be finished and they are still working on the 3rd floor so that will be a while.
There was a little bit of work going on in the BCV Lobby - sanding the floor - but it was just a job that needed doing and not part of the refurb.
Apart from the hall carpets looking a bit worse for wear, I think the BCV (and my room) are looking pretty good
No complaints here ... apart from the people in the room next door who thought that playing football with the kids in the corridor at 9pm was acceptable behaviour

I think I can now write off any chance of a refurbished room when I stay in August.

we came back from BCV 2 weeks ago & no sign of them starting yet, apparently there still working on YC side of the building & will finish that before they start on the villas,
would have been nice to have had a new room but having said that I still think they are wearing well & was happy with what we had. There was some corridor painint on the ground floor while we were ther but that was all we spotted in our 5 days.

I was at BC yesterday and there was no sign of any work going on at the villas

I read on another site that they wont start the villas until the hotel is complete. They have just started on floor 2 at BC (working from the top down), so still a while to go really?

On the dis there are pictures of a refurbed room..so they have finally started...A guest said they were working on rooms in her hallway..i guess if you were in another part of the building you would have no clue.
