In my opinion having done the dining plan twice I would always take the DDP over the QSDP.
Can you not stay in a Moderate and just pay extra for DDP rather than moving up to Deluxe Some of the places you can eat on DDP are wonderful However I find that the DDP is only of any use if you are going to spend all your time at Disney Parks We found this ok when our boys were 3 and 4 but now we want to go to other parks and the beach so don't want to be having to return to Disney every day just to eat because we have a free DDP If you do not mind forgoing your free dining on a few days and eating elsewhere then that would be fine

You could always do a character breakfast in the morning and a sit down meal at night on the same day. Or you could go to a signature restaurant that requires two credits. That way you can free up other days where you don't have table credits to use and can eat elsewhere. :-)

Having stayed at both resorts with both dining plans I can say SSR with DDP would win it hands down for me. We don't book all of our ADRs 180 days in advance -- we don't like to be tied that early, and have found that while the popular restaurants are booked, there is always plenty to choose from on the day if you speak to the concierge at the desk or look on the website if you've got that option. For the sake of less than £200 I'd totally go for it.
