8 Days in Disneyworld- May 2015 1st trip advice please
Hello we are two adults and 1 boy aged 11 and a girl aged 8. The adults have been once before around 15 years ago and first trip for the kids. We have to fit the trip into May half term so will only be doing Disney and staying onsite with QSDP and no car. We have been to DLP and the kids don't like big rides.
Draft Plan so far: Travel Thursday. Friday MK (leave afternoon when tried) evening pool at hotel. Sat EPCOT (leave when tired) Sun KSC (bus trip) possible DDD when get back if we get a trip which leaves from there Mon AK, evening outdoor movie at hotel? or pool (Memorial Day) Tue HS including fireworks Wed Disney Water Park, crazy golf (evening park visit or DDD?) Thurs MK, BOG and Fireworks Friday possibly HS in morning to see some Starwars madness then afternoon at EPCOT Fireworks Sat travel day home Any advice if this seams OK, anything missed etc. Thanks |

Can I suggest if you are staying onsite, rather then try and stay at the park all day you get there early and then come back to your resort middayish to recharge. This way you can head back into the park in the evening full of beans and you wont get burnout. I do this most days when staying on site, chill out by the pool or take a snooze. A lot of the time the parks are very busy from 11am -2pm so you get the benefit of missing the crowds at restaurants in the parks.

Why go such a long way for just one week?
The flight prices are the same for two weeks, you cab get budget motel ( if on a budget ) for around £25 per night PLUS a 14 day pass is virtually the same and you can take your time and rest more. Go for longer, you wont regret it!

Billy not mates
Thanks for your replies, I was beginning to feel like I was Billy no mates.
I know its a short trip but better a short trip than no trip. We are unwilling to take the kids out of school. Can't do Easter due to job and don't wish to deal with the heat in summer and Christmas is for our wider family. Was aiming to get fastpasses mid morning to late morning so if we want to go back to the hotel and come back later we are not waiting for time slots to come up. Hopefully this will also allow for later starts as the week goes on. |
