An immigration miracle

Landed in MCO at 5pm on the Virgin flight from Glasgow last Friday and there was no one at all waiting in line at immigration.

We walked straight up to the desk to be met by a cheery officer who chatted and wished us a great time.

Had to wait a few minutes to get out luggage but we were literally out of the airport 15-20 minutes after landing.

Only 50 people on the Virgin flight as well so loads of room and they were letting people sit on the extra leg room seats for free as no one on board had actually booked them.

And to top it off we had booked a shared shuttle to our hotel but were instead picked up in a Luxury SUV and were the only people on board.

We landed at sanford on Friday and we also had a brilliant immigration experience, the immigration officer directing us to the queues was a real hoot, winding my OH up about travelling with three ladies lol, I'd been fearing the interaction after reading they usually have no sense of humour. The immigration officer that did all our checks was also very nice and polite and welcoming and we were seen from start to finish in less than ten minutes, only our flight and the plane was half empty.
Only fly in ointment was one of our pieces of luggage didn't come off the plane but that's a whole other story :angry:

I wouldn't have expected that flight to be so quiet so close to the school holidays.

When do Virgin stop flying direct to/from Glasgow? It can't be far away, as I had to cancel my flight with them a few years ago and they didn't fly this late in the season then.
