Clearwater - Hilton v Sandpearl

Hi

We are trying to decide on the hotel to stay at Clearwater Beach. We have narrowed it down to the Hilton or the Sandpearl. We have a DS aged six.

Which would you recommend and why ?

TIA

My vote would be for the Sandpearl as it's a better and newer hotel IMO and it's location is better.

Both sit on the public beach, however because the hilton is nearer to the pier and car parks, the beach can be very busy whereas the Sandpearl sits just further north and the beach is quieter so in a sense your more likely to get the sense of a private beach.

Both have good restaurants nearby, as you walk out the Sandpearl you'll see the Clearskies restaurant (menu online) and they do a fab breakfast. Frenchys Rockaway is right next door and is great for watching the sunset in a relaxed setting.

These are just a few of the reasons why I would choose the Sandpearl, I know a lot of people rate the hilton and will give your their opinion.

We had this dilemma( what a nice one to have). We have opted for the Sandpearl for the weekend of our holiday and really looking forward to it.

We really enjoyed the Sandpearl, A beautiful hotel - really nice rooms super comfy beds and good sized bathrooms, great pool for the kids. and Free bucket/spade set which ours loved .

lots of nice little touchs, good food drink esp around the pool (home smoked pulled pork was amazing)

OK there is a resort fee and only valet parking available. But definately has the wow factor

and as Boyle 73 says adjacent to Clearsky and Frenchy's but also palm pavillion which we enjoyed

Definitely the Sandpearl! It can work out a little more expensive when you add on the resort fee, but it is pure heaven - a real luxury hotel and one of my favourite in the world! Their breakfast buffet is to die for.

We stayed in 2012 and loved everything about it. From what we saw of the Hilton it just didn't compare. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with it but the Sandpearl, for me, wins hands down.

We have booked to stay for two nights in October 2015.

We have stayed at both and my vote would be for the Sandpearl. It is a beautiful hotel. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a Gulf front view room and all I can say is WOW. The view as we walked in the door is one I will remember for a long time It was very quiet when we were there, we hardly saw anyone going around the hotel, just at the pool.

If I remember correctly we just booked directly with the hotel and took the "Winter's package" which included free breakfast and tickets to see Winter at the aquarium.

Have a look at BA they sometime have good prices.
