Without a Florida temporary disabled parking tag you have no right to park in any disabled bays and can be fined for doing so. The days of just displaying your UK badge are gone I'm afraid, it is no longer recognised in Florida.

I will remember that then when we park there, how come disney dont say anything is it because its private land?

also isnt walmart private land?

What really enoys me is at supermarkets here where people park in disabled without a badge, Tescos and asda say they can do nothing about it as its private land and thats it. It is very wrong and we have emailed asda and tescos but they dont seem to care about disabled parking much to my anger, anyone NOT disabled parking in blue badge areas should be named and shamed.

Yes, Osceola County offices - at the far end of 192... just past the turnpike entrance - huge building, you can't miss it. I just got my disabled permit in Dec.

I followed the instructions on the first page and applied by post using my credit card number and had the tag back around 2 weeks later.

It's a shame it's only valid for 90 days and not for the length of my UK badge and we will have to re apply for the next visit.

Also it does make you stand out as a tourist with it being red and having a Non US Visitor sticker on it which I was a little worried about before our visit last month.

No, it was really easy... take a photocopy of your passport, back and front of your blue permit and away you go. I was only there for about ten minutes...but they have free use computers for you to amuse you while you wait.
