Open house and extra fastpasses

Disney are offering 3 additional same day FP to guests in moderate & deluxe who take up the offer (being made via MDE) of the open house tour.

Helen. If somebody then buys it will be the most expensive Fastpasses ever!
As an aside this new system for getting extra FP's via the app is awesome!

Just saw this report:

Later this week, Disney will begin testing a new feature on the My Disney Experience website.

When making FastPass+ reservations, guests staying at a Walt Disney World moderate or deluxe hotel, may be prompted to arrange a Disney Vacation Club Open House Tour.

Guests that take up the offer will receive three additional same-day FastPass+ allocations on completion of the tour, which will be linked to the guests My Disney Experience account.

DVC Open House Tours give guests an overview of the DVC program and a tour of a DVC Villa at Walt Disney World. The tours can currently be booked via DVC agents throughout the theme parks.

The first 5 days of our trip at at Coronado Springs so we can try out free dining. I'm tempted to try to do this for the extra Fastpasses, despite already us already being DVC members, lol.

When we got our 3 extra FPs, they weren't same day - we had until the end of our holiday to use them! Bearing in mind it was 2pm by the time we finished and left SSR to return to AoA if they'd been restricted to same day only that wouldn't have left us with much time to use them!

Mind you, we would have got away hours earlier had we decided not to buy ...

They did this last year on our cruise. If you made an appointment with them you got 10 instant fast passes!
