visa requirements
We are flying into LAX before doing the BTB cruise to Vancouver/Alaska. When we return we fly from Vancouver
to Heathrow. Do we require any visa's, the web site is a little confusing in the fact it says you do, but you don't at the moment. Can anyone clear this up please?

You will need an esta to get into the USA and possibly an eta to get into Canada

The Canadian eta was a new thing and is apparently on hold at the moment

Make sure you print your ESTA as we had to show ours at the port in Vancouver.

Thanks for the replies, I have never bothered printing Esta's when going to the states but will get these done.

The Canadian Goov site says;
Summary and Entry requirements section - from 15 March 2016 visitors travelling to Canada by air will be expected to get an electronic travel authorisation (eTA) to enter Canada; the Canadian authorities have stated that from 15 March 2016 until the autumn of 2016, travellers who don’t have an eTA can board their flight, as long as they have appropriate travel documents (eg a valid passport); during this time, border services officers can let travellers arriving without an eTA into the country as long as they meet the other requirements to enter Canada |
