I've just read that Sunshine Seasons at Epcot will no longer serve breakfast after 31st August. Now this. What is wrong with the Disney Corporations at the moment? Talk about killing the Golden Goose.

Ate in Cafe Mickey last night at 7.30 and it was half empty. They have removed a lot of the menu choices (like steak) and now it is a set 2 courses for €xxxx etc, with about 5 starter, 5 mains and 3 desserts.
Won't be going back, and it appears a number of people have already made that choice! Only 5 characters, although all were good, food was average. Bill for 4 adults and 3 kids was €275 and the meal certainly wasn't worth that! Bring the characters to the hotels as in WDW (Chef Mickeys) or they need to open the park restaurants late all year round (or sort out the in park character meet and greats)! On the plus side, food quality at other places we ate (Cafe Agrabah, La Grange, Toad Hall) seemed much better than we have experienced for a number of years. Edited at 05:54 PM. |

We booked a breakfast there when booking our accommodation for May next year, to meet the characters obviously, does that mean we'll get our money back or it'll be switched to plaza gardens?

DLP would make money if the debt were sorted properly. Things are better now than they were.
Agree Disney Springs does not have a character meal so Disney Village is following. I do think the replacement needs to be good. It is a prime spot overlooking the lake. The rent will not be small. I thought characters were coming back to the hotels. There is one important difference between WDW and DLP. WDW is a world in its own and you don't just decide to go there. DLP is a Locals' park and has lots of day visitors. This makes a difference.

That's true, we have annual passes and go at least every other week. Sometimes well just go for a couple of hours on Sunday afternoon, or sometimes if we have the grandkids we'll go just to ride their favorite ride. About every other month well actually stay over and do 2 or 3 days in a row. I would guess that over a year we probably visit a 100 times or do. A lot of people I work with do exactly the same. You've probably not noticed it because we stay away when the crowds are there.
