There are 2 foodcourts at Port Orleans - your nearest offsite area is Lake buena vista and the crossroads area - go on google maps or google earth and you can get all the local retaurants and shops. It should only take you around half an hour to drive from MCO if you take the southern access route - it will bring you right into Disney - it's a very quiet toll road until you are virtually at DTD. Nearest shopping complex is Premium resorts or Lake buena vista factory stores - there is an enormous Walmart on Turkey lake road which runs parallel to the I4 - 24 bottles of water for $5 ( against $2 per bottle in the parks ). It takes about 15 minutes from DTD to Walmart - drive past DTD on your left onto hotel plaza, turn left at crossroads, then turn right onto palm parkway and keep going past westgate lakes and the hospital, Walmart is on the left. |

There is a fridge and a coffee maker in the rooms, along with some polystyrene cups. We always take plastic picnic bowls and some cutlery for cereals for breakfast. You can get plastic cutlery at the food court.
You can buy a refillable mug in the food court which you can refill as much as you like over the holiday. At POR the food court offers tea and coffee as well as fizzy drinks for the refillable mugs.
