I'd just be grateful they didn't tell you to whistle.
I am grateful that they are willing to talk but I think 170 quid to amend a booking is pretty excessive when all that is probably involved is amending a date on the paper work.

Try not to look at it as £170 in fees, focus on the £830 saving.

Good result I'd say.

be grateful it was only £35. I had to change a holiday because Thomson cocked something up and has to pay £50 per person. there was 7 of us, and to add insult to injury we had to move to a lesser standard hotel too

I cannot fault VH. We booked our holiday last year on the release weekend in April. Was happy with the price at the time. Our friends couldn't book theirs until a few days later...same everything...their price was over £1000 cheaper. I called our agent to ask about this and they had already updated our booking to the lower price! Whether it was because we had told her about our friends going to book I don't know but I was super impressed...they didn't have to do it at all. X

I also cannot fault VH, I have now got the holiday at the cheaper price plus also didn't lose deposit or have to pay the admin fees Win Win! One happy customer and a lesson learnt!

Well done, it's a great result for you but personally I think it would have been fair enough if they'd charged the admin fees.

Another £1000 for Orlando, loads to spend it on there.

I'd say that was a pretty good result to be honest. They could have stung you with losing your original deposit
