Looking for a villa with disabled friendly shower
I've been sending myself crosseyed trying to find a disabled friendly villa especially a level access shower, I've found old threads but some villas are not available anymore, it will be just me and DH so don't want a lot of bedrooms,
I'm hoping someone will point me in the correct direction. |

There is a villa on Owners Direct under Vizcay ( which is off US 27) which is wheelchair adapted. I looked at it for when my mum was travelling, but in the end she wasn't well enough. I like the area a lot and the owner was very helpful, but obviously I haven't actually been there. Hope you get sorted.

There are a few disabled friendly villas advertised right here on the Dibb. Why not post your request in the villa rental forum with your dates and exactly what you need and hopefully one of them will be both suitable and available.

A word of advice - do be very specific about the special needs. What may be suitable for one person may not suit another...just speaking from experience.

Our home is wheelchair friendly with a large level roll-in shower, roll under vanity, widened doors, level access to pool and ramped access to the front door.
What dates were you looking at? Thanks Trudi |

Check out the Spinal Injuries Magazine, they have a list/links. Have used them for years, stayed in many different villas. Bathrooms, showers etc all been to spec, more importantly they have pool hoists if mobility is an issue.

If you do find a villa with a level access and require a mobile shower chair I highly recommend orlando medical rentals. While we don't stay at a villa the hotel we stay at only provides the stationary chairs for the showers. The mobile shower chairs are a godsend and we'll worth the rental fee.
