Dd did a candy buffet for her Dbf mums bday
She used the Ikea vases as containers plus a couple of the oversized martini type glasses We printed labels for mini love hearts And printed pictures and recovered chocolate squares to use as favours She colour matched the paper bags to the theme Bought the silver scoops and chose retro sweets - Total cost about 90£ for approx 150 /180 guests This was their gift to mum and everyone loved it |

Like the other posts IKEA is a great place to start. I had there small t-light vases in a 3 by 3 grid as the table center. They had a mixture of round candels and rose heads in. People took these home. I also had small bubble pots and little wooden spinning tops for the kids. Dresses from the sales. Cake I, my Mum and the MIL all made a teir and I decorated them. The cake bars are good for a sponge cake for the kids or to pad the cake out. No one notices once the cake is cut up. We got married at 4 so ate at tea time which kept kids happy then had bacon butties and the cake and a cup of tea at supper time. Bespoke details which express your character can be cheap but make a wedding special. My tables were named after Disney films, a nod to us getting engaged at WDW and we had baby pictures of us on seating plan. My brother had picnic baskets for his wedding, less of a scramble for a buffet.
