I know I am very lucky - 2012 is to be the year of the vacation!

Sounds like you have a lot planned for the year also! I wish my company took me away to fun places like that! I do have to travel a lot with work but even when it is somewhere exciting in Europe or the US I very rarely get to see any of the place as I fly in, work at the client, stay in a hotel and then fly home again!

My boyfriend will be very jealous you are going to see Roger Waters - he is a big fan!

Only 19 more sleeps till Vancouver - can't wait to meet my new niece!

I'm really hoping for a Brunch at Palo or Remy, it's DD's first cruise as an adult so she can go to this restaurants and on the other hand I don't want to miss any of the restaurants from our rotation dinners (they look very nice), also The Fantasy has so many places for night life to offer. So Brunch for Us it is specialy on a sailing day.

This is when a Gold or Platinum CC Membership really helps. We are still silver

On other topics, She's coming !

I know tell me about it I hate the waiting for reservation time! We are only silver too.

I'm in a quandary as to whether to do dinner at both remy and palo or not. I really want to but equally I don't want to miss the rotational restaurants especially if we get sat with some great people like we did last time. I will definitely be trying for brunch as well though as we loved that before.

The selection of bars looks fantastic - I can't wait to try them all out! We are both so excited - have never wanted to wish a year away so much!

You can calm your Disney fix by going to Disney Land Paris 20th Aniversay which it is this year; they are planning a big show.

Unfortunately I'm not a fan of disneyland Paris. I know lots of people love it and that's great but it's just not Disney for me. All the things I love about Disney are missing in Paris and it just feels like a weekend in France at a theme park rather than a trip to Disney. Don't mean to offend anyone, it's just my personal preference.

So instead I think I will just feed my excitement with hopefully some brilliant trippise when the Fantasy starts sailing at the end of March!

Manny I'm going to require your Med cruise expertise! I've just booked to go on the 7 night Med cruise on June 8th next year with our lovely American friends that we met on our Alaskan cruise last year.

What ports of call did you do when you did your med cruise? Are any the same as mine:

Villefranche
La Spezia
Civitavecchia
Naples

Just interested in what excursions you did as I'm thinking I might look into organising non Disney ones?

Is it still just you and I from the Dibb on the NYE cruise? ! It's going to be a pretty limited fish extender !

Hi, glad to help. Our itinerary was pretty much the same you have with Palma additionally. Out of 7 night cruise we only had one day of sea day which gave us little time to enjoy the Magic. Almos all excursions where all day long, 12 hour long b/c distances.

We booked only DCL excursions mainly b/c of more confortable as in worring of logistics and costs were charged to credit card on the ship. They were all excelent but defenatly more expensive.

For private excursion or non DCL Joa is the expert on this subject. I'm sure she'll be willing to help or direct you to a sticky with all the info. Some may require to pay in cash.

One thing you have to note and is that La Spezia port fall on a monday where most if not all important museums are closed in Florence. That is way we didn't go there.

This is what we did at a glance: all lunches were a full 4 servings meal at a 5 star restaurant.

Villefrache: all day excursion from 6 am to 7 pm. Monaco - Nice - Monte Carlo with lunch included in Eze.

La Spezia: All day excursion from 6 am to 7:30 pm. Lucca - Pisa w/lunch included

Citivecchia - Rome: all day excursion 6 am to 7:30 pm. Colesium - Trevi Fountain - Vatican w/Sixtine Chapple w/lunch included

Naples: All day excursion from 6 am to 6 pm. Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento w/lunch included

Palma: we did a half day tour around the island. 9 am to 2 pm. Lunch not included.

For prices as an average it was US $ 140 per person.

And yes we will do Fish Extender with you even if there may not be anyone else.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Manny - wow that is some early mornings! I thought the times we had to get up for our Alaskan cruises were bad enough! I'm not much of a morning person I'm afraid especially as we tend to stay up reasonably late on the cruises

Sound slike you did some great stuff though and actually the price doesn't look too bad. I will email Joa as well as I remember seeing lots of posts about excursions that she was organising for your med cruise!

There are a few people on the "other" board on this cruise but there doesn't seem to be many and they aren't that chatty - I am a member on thre I just don't really post but maybe I should introduce myself so I can join in that FE with you!

Most of the Dissers in our cruise have prevous cruses before our so they are focused in thouse. I'm sure once the Fantasy starts to sail and show all the glitter it will spike up cruiser's volume, not long to go untill March now. I figure around April to star with first roll call.

Don't be shy, come and join us but don't worry I'll keep you updated.
