I like the hat and am genuinely gutted it's going. It's beautiful on a night all lit up and it's the icon of the park! What will it be now? I'm sad about this and wish I could see it one last time.

So happy! Good riddance to this eyesore. Hopefully they'll revert to the original view down Hollywood Boulevard and not put anything else in the way of the gorgeous Grauman's Chinese Theatre.

Before the hat was the parks Icon it was the Earful tower seen on the back stage tour. Now that is closed rumours point to be added back into the main area. Also the trolley car from MK moved here and the stage that's used during the special events will be stored underground and will rise up when needed.

I preferred the old view down Hollywood Boulevard before the hat was there. Its being removed early next year apparently.

Just because the hat is going it doesn't mean that nothing will replace it.. its a rather big empty space doing nothing in a small park otherwise.
And having the view of the theatre doesn't fit in for the new direction the park is apparently going down...
