Universal. Express pass or attraction assistance pass

Hi

My son is autistic and we've always got assistance passes in the uk. I've been hearing that it's a good idea to stay over at universal to get express passes. Will I need to do this if we have assistant passes?
Thanks

The disability assistance passes at Universal are a virtual queue system, so you get a time to come back to the ride, equivalent to the length of the queue.
If you stay onsite, you get FOTL passes so no waiting at all.

Disability Assistance Pass - we have booked one night at HRH, but would the DAP prevent queuing for the Harry Potter attractions?

I used a DAP card last year, it was a real lifeline and saved me being in pain.
I struggle pain wise to stand still for very long and am unable to use a wheelchair as I can't bend my right knee or keep my left bent for long.
I found all of the Universal staff very nice and helpful.

We used the guest assistance pass last year which was good however you get a return time to come back to the ride if the wait line is longer than 60mins.

this year we were again just going to get the assistance pass but we are meeting my sil/bil & nephews and they are staying at HRH to make use of the express pass and when hubby and I thought about it, it would mean that we perhaps would not get to ride at the same time as our family members, so we decided to book HRH too to make use of express pass tho we are not to bothered about Harry Potter as we were there last year for the soft opening and we are not really HP fans
