my dd lost her disney princess purse last day of our hol in universal, plus her autograph book (which had as then a rare gru autograph ) she had $40 dollars left to spend which I gave her but the autograph book was a big loss.I checked lost and found 3 times that day and phoned the next morning before we went home and still nothing handed in. The lady asked for my address and what characters we had met and a couple of months later we received in the post a new autograph book with the original signatures plus a whole lot extra we hadn't got ... so its not just disney who do pixie dust the purse did nark me though as it was obvious it belonged to a child

My dog, a rough collie called Brett, ran off from a field near my brothers house. We ran after him but he just went.

I went home to my mum who was furious and told me not to come back until I had found him...

Its about 5 miles between the houses but not exactly straight forward going thru large urban areas of Sheffield. If you did not know the areas you would not stand a chance

Anyway he turned up, scratching at the gate of my mums house at about 3 am. How the hell he found his way home I do not know, I mean he can't read signs or anything... But I have never been so glad to see my dog ever.

Sadly he passed away, but he was a great lad!

I tend to walk with my eyes downcast, means I find stuff! I found cash outside the beer tent at a county show when I was younger and they sent it to me months later as the drunk farmer hadn't reclaimed it Found a mobile phone and handed it back to the most ungrateful teenage girl in the world (her dad appreciated it though as he'd just brought her it back from his travels!) Had to chase after a girl at a festival as I had seen her spending money fall onto the ground. Weirdest of all though, I found an original birth certificate from an African nation beside the university in my town. That went to the police station, pretty vital document!

As for losing things... I just received my car and house keys back this week after leaving them in a hotel the weekend before!

It would fit in a paper cup and was so useful as a blanket, curtain, beach wrap even a dressing gown. It was so warm or cool as needed!
We were at WDW Christmas 2010 and our youngest DS found a wallet on the boat on the lake at Epcot. There was a thick wad of $100 notes in it. We handed it to the CM on the boat and that was it. On the same holiday DS lost his Game Boy with all his games. We never saw it again. DS was gutted.

2 years too late for the game boy to be his Mr Tom Morrow

We left our bag in McDonalds in Orlando with passports, money, all travel documents, camera and camcorder (before the days of mobiles so no phones). Realised after we had been out the restaurant for about 10mins. Rushed back in a state of panic and the bag was sitting untouched exactly where we had left it.

Quite unbelievably we did the exact same thing 2 years later in another McDonalds - luckily with the same outcome!

Ds left his iPod in Olive Garden and we were successfully reunited with that too.

Dd left her iPhone in Bahama Breeze, again another happy reunion occurred!

I left my iPhone in the departure lounge at Gatwick but after being escorted off the plane to look for it with no luck turned out another passenger on our flight had picked it up and phoned dd's phone as she had been trying to call my phone. Another happy reunion.

Just realised how careless we've been over the years!

The only things we have lost and not had returned are sunglasses and umbrellas, I guess we're lucky!

About 28 years ago ..I worked in a Woolworths that was opposite an Abbey National Building society . I found a Abbey Envelope with I kid you not ! Thousands in and I mean thousands ! Turns out it was some ones house deposit ..I returned it to Building society and never received a thank you of either the building society or the owner . Really good job I am honest as we were saving for house and wedding at the time ! And the amount was that big it could have paid both of mine
