Magic Kingdom 24hr Party
Reading a couple threads, there are several posts regarding Magic Kingdom 24hr Party on Friday 22nd May. We were planning to go on this day. Should we ignore the park that day?

We did the 24hr, Rock Your Disney Side, event at MK last May.
It's important to say it's not a separate ticketed event and the extended hours are open to all guests on-site and off-site, so expect it to be extremely busy by the time it gets to the evening and it will stay that way until the early hours with guests continually arriving. We did it in two hits as it was rather humid that day and we really needed a change of clothes so we left after around 4pm, had a quick wash and freshen-up, and headed back to MK around 6pm - we had to park at Epcot as MK's parking lot was at full capacity (despite the monorail journey showing a substantial amount of empty spaces lol). We opted to watch the later viewing of any parades and did find it easier to get a spot on Main Street, in fact, I believe we're visible in someone's YouTube video just outside Casey's Corner where we grabbed a drink before the Disney Villain's parade began. The very last Main Street Electrical Parade was completely DEAD in Frontier Land, which gave the performers a great opportunity to interact with guests. Overall it was an amazingly magical atmosphere and everyone was in good spirits (even the CMs that had been on for over 12 hours), so we say if you can bare to be up late then go for it! We left around 4am, it took us an hour to get back to Epcot and we don't remember getting to bed until we woke up in them lol |

We're there from about 9am to 2pm. Have read the park is fairly "quiet" then on the 24hr event.
It was the only day in our 21 days we were able to FP+ Anna and Elsa. I've read the park starts filling up as it gets later early evening onwards, the huge novelty factor is, riding the 'big ones' in the small hours midnight to 5am! |
