SSR - which building?

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone could share their opinions on where to stay in SSR.

I would like to be near a pool and the food court but not worried about buses as we have a car.

I was thinking about requesting a top floor room for no reason other than I might get a nice view of somewhere!

Appreciate any opinions / advice you may have.

Thanks

I am going to request the Springs as we don't have a car and have the dining plan. the Springs is the nearest to the main pool, reception, boat dock and restaurant. However I was tempted by the paddock as it has a new pool and counter service place but when I asked on disboard if anyone knew how big the counter service would be they said probably pretty small with limited opening hours so I think i will stick with the Springs.

I haven't stayed here before so all my 'knowledge' is from research not experience, lol.

we are only staying one night (in a Dibb villa the rest of the time)
we have requested a high floor in congress park, we are hoping for a view of DTD and this is the closest building to DTD and we like the idea that we can walk there of an evening and have a meal and a few drinks

We will be staying for 12 nights in August, when the buses will no doubt be busy. Does anyone know the order in which they stop at SSR e.g dont want to be at the last stop and the bus is full!
thanks

The first stop is Grandstand. We stayed there is September / October and stayed here and used the buses all the time.
