soooo

I've been SHOPPING again!

I know I know, I can't help it. Autumn is my favourite season for clothes and as the weather is going to vary between China and Japan I'm thinking lots of autumn layers will do the trick.

I started a pinterest board early on and pretty much I ended up adding the whole oasis AW16 season to my board, I wanted all of it!

I hung on for ages and ages waiting for a discount day but alas it's sale time so armed with a 15% off code I went shopping!

Firstly Skirts
I discovered early on in asia that any upper flesh is a bit of a no no and being rather top heavy I struggle for even a v neck not to look revealing. With this in mind I've decided to get my legs out instead

I've got a fair few to wear but I've order 2 just for the occasion

In fact this is pretty much my outfit plan, tights, skirts, skinny tops and boots.

Which leads me nicely onto Tops!

I LOVE this top

so much I bought it in Grey as well

I basically live in these sorts of tops in the winter at home so it's as much a holiday wardrobe as an investment for the rest of the year... that's what I tell Adam anyway...

I also like the frill on this top and it goes really well with the Asian print skirt

Dresses wise I have tons, and plan to take some with me. This I fell in love with and as it fit so well I had to have it!

I've already worn it to work I couldn't wait.

That's everything so far. I have a few more things I need to get..

I want a sleeveless coat. I can't decide between these two though

I also want a few quirky things such as this bag

and this hat

I'm also still looking for gloves and I'm hoping and PRAYING that this dress gets released before we go as I NEED it for parkwear

So what do you think? More importantly, can you think of anything I've missed? Which coat do you prefer?

Shanghai Must Do's - Day 1

Shanghai Must Do's

I've managed a big weekend of planning so I think I'm ready to share my Must Do's!

We have 4.5 days in Shanghai 0.5 will be spent in Disney town and relaxing when we arrive and 2 of them will be in Shanghai Disney, which leaves us with only 2 DAYS to fit everything in. I think I've managed a pretty relaxing touring plan though.

Here goes for Day 1

Yu Gardens

I've read this place gets pretty busy even on weekdays so I'm planning to get there early when it opens at 8.30

I don't think we'll be going to the tea house though as Adam doesn't drink the stuff so it seems unfair!

Towns God Temple
Adjoining Yu Gardens so not far to walk

It's in a mini shopping and foodie area so we'll grab something to eat here as well for breakfast

Shanghai Confucius Temple
A short walk but again I want to get there earlyish to avoid the crowds.

Next we will pickup some lunch on the way to the French Concession

Plan here is to wonder, enjoy the area and do some shopping on Tianzifang Road

By now I'm expecting it to be going dark at 5 ish so we'll be heading over to Xintiandi

here we plan on shopping, sightseeing and maybe a drink

We have a food tour on this day so we are heading over to Old Town last as that's also the meeting spot. This is really the same area as where we started the day but there are some shopping streets here I want to check out.

and that's Day 1

you can see a map showing Day 1's location on it here

and this is the "route"

Day 2 coming soon...

Shanghai Must Do's - Day 2

Shanghai Must Do's - Day 2

Final day to pack everything else in! Plan is as follows...

Jade Buddha Temple.
As with Yu Gardens it gets busy and opens early so I'm aiming for opening at 8.30

This is a little way out compared to everything else but with the metro I'm hoping it won't be too bad. It comes up in everyone's "Must Do"s I've seen so I didn't want to leave it out.

Next we will head to Jing'an Temple

Another one of those "must do" places although I've heard if you are only going to do a few temples this is one of the ones you should visit.

Next we head to People's Square

I really need to nail down what I want to see here as it's a pretty big area to wander without purpose

If we are running to schedule early we'll head to our next stop via Nanjing Road for some shopping

Although I'm hoping to catch this at night as well as it's where our hotel is based so we may have already done it.

If we don't have time we will skip it and head to The Bund to walk to our lunch reservation at lost heaven

After lunch we will head to Shanghai Fuzhou Road Cultural Street for some shopping

Next we will head back to the hotel to get changed before heading out for the evening. Firstly Shanghai Tower for sunset. I'm expecting it to be packed obviously so want to get there early!

It the second tallest building in the world and only opened in July. In fact there's nothing really in it yet! The views look fab though

Then we have an early dinner which again we will walk along the bund to for a night view.

Afterwards we'll head over to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower in the late evening.

I don't think we are going to bother going "up" the tower, having just done the same thing earlier. I would like to check out the area around it though with an evening stroll. There's a disney store there, the biggest in the world in fact, and a mini "show" at the clock tower when the store closes at 10pm

and that's us done! let's hope 2 days is enough!

Here the map for the day

And also the "route" It's a little more complicated today so we can see different areas during the day and at night :P

Wowzers, the view from that tower! Your plans look incredible. You're definitely inspiring me to plan a trip over there at some point
