Apps on new iPhone (iCloud)

Am I right in thinking that I have the new iPhone SE my old one was the iPhone 4s that if I sign into iCloud all the apps from my old phone will transfer to my new phone ... Because that's not happened and just wondering if I am doing something wrong or if it's not possible ... Thankyou

No that will not happen. If you used iCloud backup on the SE you can do a restore from that backup on the new phone and it will then do it along with all the other settings. It will then be like a clone of the old phone. But not just by signing into iCloud.
