kids earphones on the plane
What do you do with your kids with regards to earphones for on the plane? I have a 2 & 5 year old, so I think the adult in ear ones will be no good for them. We are flying with thomson

Hi! I bought Griffin noise-limiting kids headphones for mine, they are very comfortable, and very safe, they cut off noise at 85dB. Google them, nothing but positive reviews, and they can use them at home as well.

I took a few pairs for my son on our last trip.
He liked the big headphones but they were too heavy for him. The standard ones they gave were over but I found them very itchy. The over the ear ones worked best, you can get them from ebay really cheap. |

I bought my son, who was 5 when we first went, a pair of over the head noise cancelling headphones. I cant remember what type we got on Thomson, sorry. I always check the volume before letting him have them because he would have them too loud.

I bought my DS some smaller over-ear headphones from somewhere (I forget where! Amazon, probably) that are a bit smaller so fit easier than the ones you get given on the plane.
That said, I like the sound of those noise-cancelling ones.

Hi
I am interested in the Griffin Myphones because of the volume limiter and they seem cheaper compared to others. When looking them up on Amazon it shows the airplane adaptor socket. I thought most airlines accept the 3.5mm jack headphones so why would you need this, unless things have changed since we last flew long haul in 2008! We are flying Virgin this time, can anyone shed some light. The adaptors are only 75p so tempted to get a couple anyway? Sharon |

Does anyone know what the new Virgin plane headphone sockets will be like?
