The first time i went to Orlando i flew with Virgin because i found a cheap last minute deal online, and a week into my holiday they called me and told me my flight time had been changed to the earlier one, so i turned up at MCO three hours in advance as advised, only to find out that my earlier flight had been delayed and was now leaving later than my original one! All in all i had a 8 hour delay at MCO, and to compensate I got around $8 of food vouchers! Still, these things happen, i wouldn't let it get to you too much.

Hopefully!

I personally think September is a great time to go. The parks are really quiet and wait times are usually non-existant. The weather is fantastic and in the numerous times I have been, we have only had one day interupted due to inclement weather, which was hurricane Jeanne, last year.

We are due to fly back Sept 20th on VS 28, guess what, I have just checked our booking on line and they have put us on VS16! Less than 3 weeks before we fly out and they have not even had the decency to write to us to tell us! Not the sort of service I expect from Virgin - Very Snotty email going to Sir Richard and Customer Services.

I've just been on the VA website and it says:

"Due to operational reasons, Virgin Atlantic has had to cancel the following services:

Between London Gatwick and Orlando:

* VS027/028 LGW-MCO-LGW - 7, 11, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 27 Sept 2005
* VS049/050 LGW-MCO-LGW - 4, 10, 17, 24 Sept 2005

Passengers will be rebooked onto the VS015/016 London Gatwick to Orlando services on the same day.

Please call the contact centre if orginally booked on one of the above services."

I'd like to know what Virgin mean by 'operational reasons' - could there be a problem with a plane and it's going in for refurb or something?

I would of guessed it is due to lack of bookings and operationally it makes sense to combine the flights!
BTW Clare where did you find this on the VA site?

I reckon operational reasons is a catch all phrase for everything!

Phew, I'm on VS027 on the 24th Sep, which isn't affected. I'm not surprised - Upper Class is full on that flight (I tried to upgrade, but no availability), so it would be awkward for them to cancel.
