Regretfully this just proves that scheduled flights are generally not much better than charter.
Having received a bucket full of letters from the bearded one apologising for flight delays (the check in people have loads of these under the desk) we packed in using Virgin years ago.

BTW Clare where did you find this on the VA site?

Claire, it's under 'passenger information' on the Virgin Atlantic website, then 'latest news'.

Glad we have decided to fly dwon from Edinburgh on the morning and get the later flight anyway, if we had been staying over at LGW the night before we would have been on the earlier flight which would have been cancelled.

Looks like September is going to be a quiet month for passengers travelling to Orlando, so it makes sense to combine the passengers from both planes that day. Virgin and BA have some good special offers on a the moment for next month. Just checked on the TCD website and they are doing 'some' flights for as cheap as £59.00 on a TCD plane.

Hi , TCD have changed my flights too . I was due to fly out on the 25th Sept 2005 then I got a letter telling me the flights have changed to the 26th Sept . I spoke to them regarding this and was told read the small print . I have booked flights to New york on the 28th and if I had arrived in Orlando on the original date I would have had time to chill before my new york trip now I will have a busy few day trying to chill out , as TCD are well known for delays fingers crossed we fly out on time ...

Just as a matter of information Sept is generally always a very quiet month and its not totally due to Huricanes as some years pass by without any last year was very very unusual and as an owner I dont wish a repeat performance. Its also generally the most humid/wettest month of the year.
Good time to go with flight prices mind if you have the chance
