Virgin Check-in online and only taking hand luggage...

Happy Easter All!

We're travelling with just hand luggage this year and as we always check-in online does that mean we can just go straight through security at Manchester or will we still need to queue up to have our hand luggage weighed?

Thanks!
Claire

I pretty sure they will need to see your hand luggage to check its weight & size... I know when we bag dropped at MCO and had left our hand luggage upstairs in the Hyatt hotel, we had to go back upstairs and get it for them to see it.

I would ask one of the officials at the end of the baggage line.

I thought this may be the case or I guess people could travel with huge hand luggage bags without being checked. Thanks for the help!

When we have gone hand luggage only in Europe we have printed our tickets out online and bypassed check in but I have never done it to the States.

When flying to the State on hand luggage only with Virgin having already printed boarding passes we go straight through security at the airport and not to bag drop.

It depends whether you already have your boarding pass. The best place to check is the Virgin website...

virgin-atlantic/en/g...ckin/index.jsp

Halfway down the page it says

If you have hand luggage only and a boarding pass, go directly through Airport Security.
