Thanks for all your great advice i have spoke to hes teacher friday afteroon and we are going to go through the senco at the school and the school now have a drop in nurse starting after easter hols so she will be able to help , ive still got an appointment with my gp on monday just so that she can see my ds and check there is nothing else wrong with him( he always seems worse during the winter months and then perks up during the summer ) all the advice on here has been great and its nice to hear from others who ve also gone through this

do try not to worry about the diagnosis, it doesn't change your son any. my immediate concern would be to deal with his hair pulling at night, talk to him and ask why he does this - you might get an answer , look for a fiddle toy (there are lots of different ones on the market) and give him a note pad for the side of his bed so he can write down things he feels he needs to remember. These are things that helped my child settle a little easier and helped him relax - hope it helps
