Just the Two of Us - Pre-Travel Day 2nd May 2018
Pre-Travel Day Wednesday 2nd May
My first attempt at a Trip Report! A really busy few days as my best friend had just done a flying visit from New Zealand. She arrived on Sunday 29th April and went back to London on Tuesday 1st May. We had the most amazing catch up, but I miss her dearly now she has returned. So the morning was spent cleaning and changing beds, the afternoon a trip to the hairdressers for nails and hair. We set off for Birmingham at approximately 6.00pm, it took us about an hour. We were staying at The Crowne Plaza, Solihull, free with IHG points. What a beautiful hotel, we had asked for an upgrade to Club level, and were given this free at check in. Here are a few pics of the club lounge.     The bread, dips, olives and cold meat were really lovely. All that free beer and wine, I very rarely drink, but I’m happy to say there was a lovely Britvic 55 for me, my favourite. This is a really lovely hotel, and only about 10 minutes from the airport. It's right next door to the Touchwood Shopping Centre, and had we been there earlier, we would definitely have gone for something to eat there. We didn't need to as we had the Club Lounge. Up to the room – this had to be one of the biggest beds I’ve ever seen, it was 3 very large pillows wide. So comfortable, and lots of lovely extras and toiletries. I slept very well.

Club level looks amazing and I would of certainly had a couple of large white wines
 WOW that bed looks so inviting  Looking forward to travel day
