I'm not a financial expert but, no, it won't go from $1.90 one day to $1.40 the very next. Such a move, were it to happen (none of us have crystal balls) would take months.

I was going to order one a few days ago at 1.95 but forgot, just did it at $2 - £1. So happy :-) Especially that I booked directly with the Disney hotel and only left a deposit. Makes the hotel even cheaper.

sorry... can you just give me a quick synopsis on how these work.

So after I've applied for one do I transfer money from another card into it and specify what currency it to be in[ ie dollars].

I assume when over in Florida, I can use this card to pay bills and also to withdraw cash from the atm's.

Is that about right?

very quickly.....

is a PREPAId mastercard. You load money up as and when suits you online. Minimum top is just £10 with fairfx - shows on your account within 2 hours.

you tie your money in to dollar rate at the moment you top up - hence $2 to £1 today at this moment in time.

Can be used a a mastercard anywhere in world. ATM withdrawals $2 fee.

Card usually costs £9.95 but is free at present if you follow the link below:

http://www.fairfx.com/matalan-offer

means no unexpected bills when you get back (unlike normal credit cards when you dont know currency rate) and you can top up as and when you have some spare cash or rate is very good (like it is today)

hi... thanks for the reply funnymummy.

When I click on the matalan link, and then click on the 'free dollar card' it still shows a charge of £9.95 for the card.

Am I doing something wrong?
