I don't think you'd need $1000 in cash...i think we only take a couple of hundred $'s in cash and the rest in TC.....TC are exactly like cash - get the change in notes...

I wouldn't put everything on your Fairfx card (what if something happens to it or you loose it), i take a mixture of cash, tc's & fairfx

I have converted £300 into dollars cash which I shall use for incidentals. Absolutely everything else will be going on my flexible friend(s).

Have about $70 which was left from the last trip in May, this will keep us going for a few days with drinks etc.

The rest will go on the Nationwide credit card. Any extra cash we will get using our flexaccount card

Always been OK doing it this way but obviously not everyones cup of tea

I have converted £500 to dollars then everything else goes on the credit card which works for us. Just remember that you are only covered up to a certain amount for cash if it goes missing under the terms of your travel insurance. It might be something like £250-500. Always bear this in mind!!

I take our daily allowance ($200 per day) in TC's, $150 in cash for essentials on the first day and I pay for all the prezzies and big purchases with my Debit card! we also take our credit cards for emergencies!

We took $400 in cash, and the rest in TC. We had a bank 5 mins away at Champions Gate, so while we were getting ready in the morning DH would nip out and change them. We also had our Flexible Friends for emergancies

we are taking $1000 each (me and my bf) for food, petrol, parking at theme parks and maybe a little bit of shopping depending on how much we have left. Would that be enough for 2 weeks?

We have already got our theme park tickets and have the gold cover with Alamo. We both have cc but would like to use these as little as possible.
